A 21 year old girl by the name of Lauren Adderley pretended to be a police officer, using the name Robert Hay to scare and control her ex boyfriend Mitchell Lloyd for 2 years, because she didn't want him to be seeing other girls. Lauren convinced her ex from going to certain hangout spots because according to her he was being investigated by the
police. She succeeded in black mailing her ex by tell him that he was a victim of a crime and he should make a statement to a police officer with the alias Robert Hay who she pretended to be. She convinced him that Robert Hay was a friend of her family but
unknown to Mitchell, she played the role as Robert Hay. Mitchell started facing problems when he was threatened by the so called Robert Hay to stop seeing other women as t made his friend (Lauren Adderley) upset. He was banned from seeing or
even speaking to some of his friends, mostly women, and that failing to comply could result in hefty fines of up to £15,000. Laura Adderley took it a step further by changing the officers, first changing her alias to “Darren Clarke” and then later to Elaine Thomas.
After so long being in the Blackmail, he (Mitchell Lloyd) summoned up courage and spoke about the situation with his friends who suggested he reported the matter to the police which he did and the culprit was later traced to be his ex Lauren Adderley who was later charged and sentenced to nine months in prison. What love can do. So sad though she should have just told the guy how much she was in love with him.
