The ex-wife of the Ooni of ife, Olori Wurola has returned her bride price through her elders from Benin City. The Ooni of Ife later on declared her free to marry as a bondage was on any one who tried
marrying her before she was pronounced fit for marriage by the Ooni. The marriage which took place barely last two years came crashing as a result of alleged infidelity on the woman's side
although she (Olori Wurola) came out to deny the allegations. According to BossNewspapers, a source in Benin said the Ooni was initially reluctant to collect the bride price, but was persuaded by the Elders as a way of closing the controversial marriage and separation.
