Amidst all the controversy that has being going on about a particular song in Phyno's the Play Maker album that was realesed in 2016, by the name I'm a Fan in which on may an American Pop singer Pia
Mia also released a very similar song to Phynos' version of the song where she featured Jeremih. A
lot of Nigerians engaged in a war of words calling out the American singer on allegations of theft and also attacking anyone who had a contrary opinion which saw myself and Joey Akan of Pulse being seriously attacked by the opinions we aired out. Phyno didn't help matters himself in putting a stop to
the controversy as barely little was heard of him or his camp relating to the issue. But now more clarity is coming out, indeed the song was written by Decarlo as earlier claimed by an Online media company, and also the song was distributed to various artistes according to what Decarlo said. But he
has claimed that the only authorised version of the song was the one Pia Mia released and the rest are Unauthorised. Although this clearly doesn't add up as to why he didn't carry out legal actions to
whomever released an "Unauthorised" version, words have being barely heard from the other camp. This probably isn't the end of this drama; we just have to fold our hands and watch as it unfolds.
