The Former minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iwela has been made a non-executive director of Standard Chartered bank based in the United Kingdom. The chairman of the bank, José Viñals has praised Ngozi-Iwela for her outstanding work in the past, acknowledging her as a globally recognised figure who has a lot of experience in various fields that will help the board significantly.
