Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Francis Alimikhena, has condoled with the family of Alhaji Maitama Sule on his passing away earlier this Monday in Egypt.
Senator Alimikhena who expressed this in Abuja today stated that Maitama Sule symbolised the finest virtues of people centred leadership. He enthused that his exit would create a vacuum which may be difficult to fill.
He prayed God to grant his immediate family the equanimity to bear the irreparable loss. The Distinguished Senator also prayed that in this era of change Nigerians, especially those who are privileged to hold positions in Leadership, should cue behind the sterling qualities that endeared the late Dan Masalin Kano and his likes to the people, as part of efforts to advance frontiers of development of our dear country.
Senator Alimikhena also condoled with the Governor and people of Kano State over the translation to glory of the elder statesman.
