Israel Oluranti, 21 has been arrested by the Ogun state Police Command for reportedly stabbing his friend, Farooq Olusegun 18 to death over a disagreement about a phone on Christmas day. The victim accused Israel Oluranti of taking his phone, this statement
then lead to the agitation by the suspect who picked up a bottle, smashed it and used the broken piece to stab the victim in the chest. The victim was rushed to the hospital but died before getting there. The police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said,
“The father of the victim, Kolawole Abiola lodged the complaint at Agbado Divisional Headquarter and the DPO, Omonijo Sunday detailed detectives to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested,” he explained.Mr. Oyeyemi said the commissioner of police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the Homicide Section of State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for investigation.
