Across the world, a day is reserved for lovers or couples to shower love and attention to one another and that day is on the 14th of February. A lot of people take out time to observe this day, mostly wearing red as a sign of love and affection, but still most people do
not know why this day exist and its true meaning. Valentine's day was initially observed to celebrate saint Valentine of Rome, who was imprisoned for wedding soldiers who where not allowed to
marry, and for ministering to persecuted Christians. According to legend, during his imprisonment Saint Valentine restored sight to the blind daughter of his judge, and before his execution he wrote her a letter signed "Your Valentine" as a farewell. But slowly
and gradually it became a day when lovers express their love for each other while really not knowing the main purpose of the celebration. Although in some churches such as the Anglican church and the Lutheran Church, the day is observed as the feast day, associating the day with one or more saints who where martyr.
