On September the 26th, the Nigerian Army uncovered a fake military base operating Okpokwu, Benue state, the fake soldiers arrested are suspected to be part of a syndicate crime group who use the base to train high profile criminals. Weapons caught with the fake soldiers included cutlass and locally made rifles. The
military base hade a signpost with the inscription “Coastal Defence Force 4th Arms. Signal Ship Base. Okpokwu, Benue State Command”.
