The richest man in Africa and chairman of Dangote groups has assured residents of Lagos that the Apapa road currently undergoing construction would be completed very soon. Due to the constructions of the road, there has been heavy traffic grid lock in the area. The road construction is a joint effort between Dangote
groups, Nigerian Port Authority and Flour Mills is going to cost 4.3 Billion naira. The road construction which is initially meant to be maintained by the federal government was taken by the three companies as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility. Dangote in a statement said:
By the time the road construction is completed, even some of the advanced countries would not be able to boast of the quality.”
