BIG DATA AND WHY IT IS A BIG DEAL

Ever heard of the word "Big Data", well if you have not you better read this post and get acquainted with what it is all about. Well the word Big Data is a very common word these days in the IT world which refers to large amount of data and the proper management of these data. You see, in the nearest future plans are being made to 


ensure that almost everything and if not everything has an IP address, and you once an IP address is attached to a device, then that device can easily communicate with the internet. Once a device communicates with the internet you would expect it to send data to 

the internet and also receive data from the internet. We are talking about very unsuspecting things such as your cups, biros, cookers, pots, plates, any thing you can think of that is unusual. I won't mention refrigerators or radios because these items are already getting connected to the internet. It all started with our Televisions and now we have refrigerators that already communicate with the internet. Next time you are buying a newly produced refrigerator, expect it to have internet access. Not just refrigerators, your 

microwaves, cars and so fort are already connected to the internet and trust me more things are going to be added so don't be surprised that the unusual items i mentioned get connected as soon as possible. These process is called the IOT (Internet of Things) where almost if not all devices would be connected to the internet. Now this is where Big Data plays a key role. Once these devices have been connected to the internet, you would need to be able to 

manage them and only experts of Big Data can do this because of the quantity of data involved. They would analyse and filter important information from these data, mine contents and store for future references. So get ready as Big Data would be lingering in your ears from time to time.
