The government of Benue state has named a street in Otukpo LGA after the late Ochanya Elizabeth Ochiga who was raped by her aunt's husband and son right from when she was only 8 years old all through to when she was 13, the age she passed away due to VVF (Vesicovaginal fistula) and other
health complications which resulted from the rape act. Students of the girls school, Federal Government Girls College, Gboko, Benue State, embarked on a protest over the death of 13-year-old Elizabeth Ochanya Ogbaje. The protesting students, called on the state and federal government not to sweep the case involving their colleague under the carpet. Justice needs to be served, the accussed must be tried and persecuted #JusticeForOchanya.
