today. Dr Stella Ameyo Adadevoh became a heroine after preventing the Nigerian index case from leaving the hospital at the time of diagnosis, thereby playing a key role in curbing the spread of the virus in Nigeria despite been threatened of be sued for kidnap.She later got infected by the virus by
the patient on the 4th of August 2014 and died on the 19th of August 2014. She was born on the 27th of October 1956. More needs to be done to honour her and the other health practitioners that lost their lives as she sacrificed herself for the nation.
