Fresh ambush by the terrorist sect Boko Haram has claimed the lives of multiple soldiers and police officers on an escort duty along Damaturu-Maiduguri road. The Deputy Director of Public Relations, Operation Lafiya Dole Theatre Command, Colonel Onyema Nwachukwu confirmed this report, he
said: "The gallant troops engaged the terrorists in a firefight, courageously wading through the ambush. Sadly, 13 military and police personnel, including a police officer paid the supreme price while extricating themselves from the ambush". It is still unknown how the terrorist sect knew that they would be passing through that route on an escort duties, but there has been several rumours that the Boko Haram sect have informants in the military who gives them information.
